Jessie J began life in the limelight at the young age of eleven, when she was cast to play in Andrew Lloyd Webber's West End show, “Whistle Down the Wind”. Joining the National Youth Music Theatre, she also appeared in their 2002 production of “The Late Sleepers”. By sixteen she began studying at the BRIT School, and even joined girl group Soul Deep. In testament of her talent, Jessie J actually graduated alongside fellow rising pop stars Adele and Leona Lewis! Signing with Gut Records, she began recording an album, however the label eventually went bankrupt. Undeterred however, Jessie J went on to work as a songwriter and eventually gained a Sony ATV publishing contract! Jessie J can claim the highly impressive credit for writing for such huge talents such as Miley Cyrus and Chris Brown, among a slew of other talented folk!
