Ska-punk, synth-pop, seasonal songs
Born in Fullerton, California, in 1969, Gwen Stefani began performing in her teens and hit the big-time in the mid’90s when her band No Doubt released the chart-topping, multi-million-selling LP ‘Tragic Kingdom’. After five albums’ worth of melodic ska-punk, the quartet went on hiatus in the early ‘00s. Stefani subsequently launched a solo career with 2004 debut, ‘Love. Angel. Music. Baby.’, an inventive blend of synth-pop, R&B, and Japanese culture which spawned the number one single "Hollaback Girl". 2006 sophomore ‘The Sweet Escape’ continued her run of success, while she also showcased her talents as an actress with her portrayal of Jean Harlow in "The Aviator". After a brief return to No Doubt, Stefani joined Adam Levine, Pharrell Williams, and Blake Shelton on the judging panel of TV talent show "The Voice" in 2014, and two years later topped the Billboard 200 for the first time with ‘This Is What the Truth Feels Like’. In 2017, she ventured into the festive market with fourth solo effort, ‘You Make It Feel Like Christmas’. You can both buy and sell Gwen Stefani tickets on StubHub.
From underground clubs to Las Vegas residencies
Having worked her way up from the underground ska-punk clubs to sold-out arenas with No Doubt, Stefani has plenty of experience on the live circuit. And she’s continued to command the stage as a solo artist too, hitting the road in 2005 for the "Harajuku Lovers Tour", in 2007 for "The Sweet Escape Tour", and in 2016 for the "This Is What the Truth Feels Like Tour". In 2018, she also launched a two-year "Just a Girl" residency in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood’s Zappos Theater. Here, Stefani treated fans to hits such as "What You Waiting For?", "Rich Girl", and "Wind It Up", as well as No Doubt classics including "Don’t Speak", "Spiderwebs", and "Hey Baby". The star also embraced the showgirl aesthetics of Las Vegas with a dazzling array of costume changes, backing dancers, and video clips, not to mention a slick and stylish stage design incorporating a grand staircase, spinning sunflowers, and giant bananas.
